If you need to change your registration

If you need to change from an in-person conference registration to a virtual conference registration, ASIACCS2022 can do partial refunds for the difference in accordance with the refund policy. Changes in registration must be sent to ACM ASIACCS 2022 Secretariat via email with your Web ID. For more detail, please see refund polivy and FAQ.

If you need to change from an virtual conference registration to a in-person conference registration, please contact ACM ASIACCS 2022 Secretariat with your Web ID. You can pay additional expense at the registration site after the secretariat change your registration manually.

Please note that the new registration fee can be decided by the datetime sending you the email if you need to change your registration.
e.g.) If the date of your first registration is 1 April and the date of sending the email to change your registration is 1 May, late registration fee is applied for your updated registration.

Refund policy

For the refund of registration fee, the cancellation request in writing should be received by asiaccs2022_secretary@conferenceservice.jp no later than April 20, 2022 (JST). Only the cancellation request in writing via e-mail is acceptable. We also accept partial refunds by switching "In-Person" to "Virtual". JPY 10,000 will be charged for the refund as the administration fee. Processing of the refunds may take over 30 days. No refunds are available after April 21, 2022 (JST).

Note

  1. If you would like to get a hard copy of VISA Support Letter, please select the number of "Hard copy of invitation letter" when you do your registration. Please note that the hard copy of VISA Support Letter do not guarantee your entry into Japan. If you would like to get a Visa information, please visit Visa information page.
  2. We are planning to do onsite registration. Onsite registration fee will be higher than late registration fee. If you would like to know the detail, please contact ACM ASIACCS 2022 Secretariat.
  3. Onsite registration desk will be opened on May 29 afternoon. Detailed time schedule will be posted in the conference program.
  4. "In-Person" registration fee includes:
    • Participation and presentation in this conference sessions on-site and/or online
    • Program booklet and online conference proceedings
    • Coffee breaks, lunches
    • Banquet on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 (JST), except Workshop only
  5. "Virtual" registration is mainly for those who participate online. The registration fee includes:
    • Participation and presentation in this conference sessions online
    • Online program booklet and online conference proceedings

Q2:
I need to change from an in-person conference registration to a virtual conference registration. What should I do? Can I receive partial refunds?
A2:
Please contact ACM ASIACCS 2022 Secretariat with your Web ID. The secretariat change your registration manually. After this, the secretariat processes the partial refunds in accordance with the refund policy.
e.g.)
If your in-person registration fee is 88,000 JPY and your new virtual registration fee will be 44,000 JPY, the patial refunds will be 88,000 JPY - 44,000 JPY - 10,000 JPY = 34,000 JPY because 10,000 JPY will be charged for the refund as the administration fee.
Q3:
I have registered as a "Virtual" author/participant. But, I would like to switch to in-person registration. What should I do? Can I pay the extra fee?
A3:
Please contact ACM ASIACCS 2022 Secretariat with your Web ID. The secretariat change your registration manually. After this, you can pay the extra fee at this registration site.
Q4:
I tried registering and did not receive any confirmation email.
A4:
The mail may be in your spam or junk folder. If not, I recommend you to use another email address.
Q5:
I would like to check for authors that a single author registration is sufficient.
A5:
At least one author registration is required for each paper and/or poster presented at the main conference or workshop, in order for the paper to be included in the conference proceedings. So, a single author registration is sufficient. Of course, multiple authors can do author registration, too.
Q6:
Are there any registration fee waivers available for authors?

Unfortunately, there is no registration fee waivers available.
Q7:
May I know whether I should submit audio/video to ASIACSS ‘22?
A7:
Yes, I would appreciate it if you submit your audio/video to ASIACSS ‘22, which would be available together on the online Proceedings like the following link: https://dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/3433210.3437527
This is a good way to advertise your research as/beyond the paper itself. It is not compulsory, but organizing committee is strongly recommended that you submit your audio/video to ASIACCS ‘22.
- Note -
  • The proceedings and the video will publish on May 29 or 30, but the schedule may change.
  • The videos cannot be shared prior to the conference.
